For as long as I can remember, I knew that I wanted to help others. You could even say that I was born that way. For centuries, the doctors in my family line have dedicated their lives to developing and protecting our family’s herbal formulas, so that they could help people improve their overall conditions and achieve a lasting state of health, beauty and longevity. Since childhood, I have had a strong resonance with Traditional Oriental Medicine and I have studied extensively under some of the most respected herbologists in East Asia, including the wisdom and knowledge of my family mentors. Although I was raised in Southern California, East Asian tradition was a large part of my life. Coming from a multi-ethnic family I have always understood the significance of integrating the wisdom and knowledge of the East and the West, which is the foundation of Jadience. It is my greatest wish to share these highly respected methods of health and beauty so that we are all able to preserve the tradition and wisdom of the most revered doctors of East Asia who kept them thriving.

Jenelle Kim, MSTOM, L.Ac., Dipl. CH, Co-Founder of Jadience, Jadience is rooted in the teachings of Jenelle’s great grandfather, Dr. Jin Bo Kim. Dr. Kim overlooked the renowned Bohan (or Bong Ha) Clinics throughout Korea and East Asia. Dr. Kim was an avid teacher and adherent to the great doctor, Heo Jun (1539-1615) who compiled the Dongui Bogam, a 25-volume medical encyclopedia that was completed in 1613, with its basic theories based on the Yellow Emperors Inner Classic (Huangdi Neijing).
After receiving her Master’s of Science Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and becoming Nationally Board Certified in Herbology, Oriental Medicine, and Acupuncture, Jenelle Kim furthered her studies abroad training with some of the most respected doctors and herbologists of East Asia.
Ms. Kim is devoted to integrating the medical wisdom and expertise of East Asia with the advancements of modern medicine in order to touch and positively affect the lives and well-being of as many people as possible. Specifically, Ms. Kim is responsible for carrying out key aspects of operations and preserving the wisdom and visions of her family’s medical practice. Like other well-respected practitioners of medicine, she is deeply dedicated to supporting medical research and to caring for the human mind, body, and spirit.
Anna Ragaz, M.D. was recognized as a leading dermatologist in the treatment of acne, as well as a pioneer in cosmetic dermatology and anti-aging medicine. Dr. Anna Ragaz graduated from medical school in Czechoslovakia, and advanced her education in England, Canada, and the United States. Dr. Ragaz’s research experience at New York University Medical School is what distinguishes her from most dermatologists. As Assistant Professor of Pathology and Dermatopathology at NYU, she worked in an internationally renowned scientific center, lectured worldwide, and did research that culminated in the publication of numerous articles and a book on the early stages of skin disease. Because of her position at NYU’s advanced scientific center, Dr. Ragaz was an integral part of the team that identified the first cases of AIDS and recognized the associated skin lesions as an immune deficiency syndrome. In 2003, Dr. Ragaz presented Jadience Herbal Formulas’ (formerly Chi Herbal Formulas’) methods and case studies to the World Congress for Anti-aging in Paris France, which was attended by 2000 physicians and scientists from around the world.
